Rick's teaching philosophy is that it's all about the songs.  His methods very comprehensive based on decades of learning, teaching and performing.  Rick's formal education includes San Jose State and the renowned Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles.  

 

A native of San Jose, Rick has performed around the world including Norway, Germany, and Sweden. He has performed and recorded with such greats as Bo Diddley, Maria Muldaur, Joan Osborne, Rosanne Cash, Elvis Costello, and Michael McDonald among others.
