Michael Sanchez is a Bay Area native trumpeter with over fifteen years performance experience, having fallen in love with the instrument upon starting in the 4th grade - by the time he was 12 he knew he wanted to become a professional musician! He is adept at playing and teaching various styles including: Classical, Jazz, Rock, Funk, and Commercial. He has spent years playing in local musical theater companies performing Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, In the Heights, among many others and led the house band in the SOMA Ballroom.

Michael recently released his first original album as a leader: "What They Don't See", and has studied and performed with many great teachers including Eric Bolvin, Kathryn Adduci, Joel Behrman, and Grammy award-winner Jeff Lewis. 

As a teacher Michael is patient, and knows exactly how to push a student to be their best. He believes strongly that everyone can learn to love trumpet, and has a certain knack for helping those students who may be struggling or those who are looking to take things to the next level!
