Dawn Livingston
Drums

Music, dance, animals, nature and vegan junk food are what keep Dawn smiling. Growing up, she'd make up songs and dances once homework was finished. She learned piano then switched to drums at 11, playing in symphonic, jazz, and rock bands. In symphonic band she also played bells/xylophone, timpani, snare, and bass drum.

Dawn studied music and minored in Dance at San Francisco State University. Her love for electronic music production began there which influenced her to do more writing, singing, and to play guitar.  Dawn continued to play drums in various bands throughout the years. Performances include for the Eagle Rock Music Festival, Pride, Oaktoberfest, and more. Her musical teaching career ranges from teaching music and movement toddler classes, to private lessons at Notes Academy and her private studio, to Musical Me’s basic music competence  classes.

While living in Costa Rica she also taught music and movement classes but was also contracted to start Puerto Viejo Live. This was a weekly 15 person multi-cultural dance, music, fire, and aerial show. Dawn directed and performed in the show until she left Costa Rica in 2017. Now back in California, she is looking forward to helping children fall in love with dance and music as much as she has.
